Home Library Services

Clients who are unable to visit library sites for medical reasons, either temporary or permanent, may wish to avail themselves of our home library service. Staff select materials for these clients which are delivered to their door once a fortnight. These services are available from the all branches, with services planned on a needs basis. The deliveries are done by volunteers within each community.

To become a "housebound" member, you will need to complete the application form, and return it, with a medical certificate to the regional library at 126 Bridge Street, Muswellbrook 2333, or by faxing it to 02-6543 1325.

If you would like to assist the library with deliveries, please complete the attached volunteer form, and contact the Regional Library Manager on 02-6543 1913.

Regional and Family History Resources

So you want to know who your parents were? Or maybe your grandparents, great grandparents etc.?
Perhaps you want to know when and how your ancestors arrived in Australia. On which convict ship?
Do you want to know where and how they lived? Do you want to know who lived in your place, or what it looked like in earlier times?

The best starting place for genealogical and local historical research is to start with yourself, or your place, and the knowledge you have and work backwards. After you have quizzed your relatives, or local people, for further information and checked out the family bible and photo albums, try our links below for family and regional history. You can always visit us to use our resources - check our catalogue.
